Cooling quality
Mold Cooling Systems
are very important, as the mold cooling accounts for more than two-third of the total cycle time. An efficient cooling layout can reduce the cooling time, which in turn increases the overall productivity. In addition a uniform cooling improves the part quality by reducing residual stresses and maintain dimensional accuracy and stability. This usually results in less part warpage.
The Cooling System
is designed to transport the heat, injected with the hot polymer, with the coolant out of the mold and keep the mold itself at a stable temperature.
Baffles and Bubblers
can be used in the simulation as well as different coolants, inlet temperatures and flow rates.
Temperature variance
shows the areas in the part that need longer/shorter cooling times based on thicker/thinner regions, or more/less effective cooling layout.
Part Temperature
shows the temperature on top of the part at the end of the cycle.
